Evidence of Predation by Octopuses Pushed Back By 25 Million Years
New research unveiled the earliest evidence of octopus predation in the fossil record. The evidence consists of tiny holes drilled in the clams they preyed upon during the Cretaceous period about 75 million years ago.

“Stitching Together Tuscaloosa’s History”
Curated by University of Alabama student volunteer Allison Mansour, the Stitching Together Tuscaloosa’s History exhibition utilizes the 2019 Tuscaloosa Bicentennial Quilt which was created as a celebration of Tuscaloosa’s ever-changing and diversifying communities.

The Mildred Westervelt Warner Transportation Museum is now open and has two exhibits to see: Chronicles of the Arctic Circle and Stitching Together Tuscaloosa’s History!

Extended Closure: Warner Transportation Museum
As a safety measure against the spread of COVID-19, the Mildred Westervelt Warner Transportation Museum will be closed to the public through January 31, 2021, per the City of Tuscaloosa.

Winter Exhibit: Chronicles of the Arctic Circle – OPENS TODAY!
Starting on November 10, 2020, the Mildred Westervelt Warner Transportation Museum is launching a new exhibit titled Chronicles of the Arctic Circle, which aims to make this winter season feel wintrier for visitors while they enjoy learning about the area, animals, and history associated with the Arctic Circle.
