The Buzz About Bees – Beehive Installation!
Today, some new friends buzzed into the Alabama Museum of Natural History! 🐝 Our BRAND NEW honey bee exhibit, The Buzz About Bees starts on April 22, just in time for Bama Bug Fest and is in cooperation with the West Alabama Beekeepers Association.
Amelia Gayle Gorgas: An 1870s Bustle Dress Recreation
Visit The Gorgas House Museum to see a study in historical garment recreation from University of Alabama student, Lindsey Jones, that focuses on the look of an original garment worn by Amelia Gayle Gorgas that mixes both modern and historical dressmaking techniques!

Nestled along the banks of the Black Warrior River, UA’s Moundville Archaeological Park (MAP) hosts its annual Birdfest Friday and Saturday, April 9-10, 2021.
