This year for GivingTuesday, The University of Alabama Museums is encouraging gifts to go towards the Gorgas House Museum!
This day reimagines a world built upon shared humanity and generosity. Whether it’s making someone smile, helping a neighbor or stranger out, showing up for an issue or people we care about, or giving some of what we have to those who need our help, every act of generosity counts, and everyone has something to give.

The generous support and continued involvement of our friends allow us to do more in research, educate students better, and more actively serve the local, state, national, and international community.
Your gifts and support of our programs can add to and enhance what the Gorgas House Museum is able to do. Support will help with:
- general object care, conservation, and preservation.
- the need for professional conservator work on certain objects.
- rehousing and labeling of objects in collections.
- funding for student projects and exhibitions (panels, photography, imaging, etc.).
- public programming development
- refinishing the second-story floor
- building repair and upkeep
