Fossil Camp

Fossil Camp is a summer camp for students in grades 4-7 who are interested in learning all about fossils. Interactive lessons, fossils digs, guest speakers, and arts & crafts.

Fossil Camp offers an exciting introduction to ancient life by examining real fossils, searching for rocks and minerals, and much more! Each day campers will be introduced to a new topic, meet real paleontologists, and explore the outdoors for fossils yet to be discovered. Maximum Capacity is 10 Participants.

Dates / Times

Fossil Camp will be held June 5-9 from 8:00 am until 4:30 pm each day.

Cost

Fossil Camp is $175 for University of Alabama Museums Members and $200 for Non-Members.

Registration

Registration for our Fossil Camp must be done online through the Alabama Youth Programs website.

Location

Fossil Camp will be held at the Alabama Museum of Natural History.

Additional Locations: Shark Tooth Creek (off campus), Peter Bryce Preserve (on campus), Tom Bevill Building (on campus), Mary Harmon Bryant Hall (on campus), UA Arboretum (off campus), Rodgers Library (on campus)

Participants will travel on a van to the field trips that are not in walking distance.

Participants will be dropped off and picked up by a guardian.
