50 Years of Alabama Archaeology

In May of 2003, OAR received a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities to preserve and facilitate access to material culture collections from archaeological surveys and excavations throughout the state of Alabama.

Moundville Stolen Artifacts Website

OAR maintains an online gallery of the 264 artifacts stolen from Moundville Archaeological Park in 1980.

1930s WPA/TVA Archaeological Photograph Database

Photographs and field notes for the database were contributed by the McClung Museum of Natural History and Culture at the University of Tennessee, the William S. Webb Museum of Anthropology at the University of Kentucky, and the Alabama Museum of Natural History at The University of Alabama.
